Mighty Mac claims Senior service

MORECAMBE'S motorbike ace John McGuinness moved into joint second place in the all-time Isle of Man TT roll of honour with a sensational display on Friday.

The veteran rolled back the years to claim his 14th TT title by winning the prestigious Dianese Senior TT around the world famous Mountain Circuit.

Going into the last of the six laps the game appeared up for McGuinness as he trailed Australian wonder kid Cameron Donald by almost five seconds.

But the master taught the apprentice on the final lap - and scorched home by 50 seconds to move level with Mike Hailwood on the honours board.
