Founded as Ireland Freight Services in 1967 by our late Chairman Mr Walter Anderson, IFS Global Logistics has grown significantly over the years. In 1990, the company expanded by acquiring Williames Airfreight, followed by the addition of BRS Air Cargo in 1994. These acquisitions complemented the already thriving Ireland Freight Forwarding Services, establishing IFS Global Logistics Ltd as the premier privately owned IATA Freight Forwarding Group of Companies in Northern Ireland.
In 1998, the establishment of IFS Courier Express marked our venture into express global courier services, facilitating express door to door collections and deliveries worldwide.
Following closely in 1999, IFS Global Logistics emerged as a dynamic provider of cutting-edge logistics solutions. Through pioneering and innovation, we introduced “Vendorvillage”, Ireland’s first approved vendor managed inventory facility, revolutionising e-commerce solutions across our customers supply chains and winning the Queens Award for Enterprise along the way.
From our humble beginnings with just a handful of employees, IFS Global Logistics has grown to a team of over 100 professionals. Our global reach is facilitated by cutting-edge IT platforms and real time tracking networks, positioning us as an integral part of your worldwide logistics and supply chains.
